Our Values
We are a small family owned rum distillery, based in Lyme Regis, Dorset. All our rum is hand-crafted from scratch, using the finest molasses in the fermentation process, twice distilling, through to oak-aging and finishing the products ourselves. Nothing is out-sourced, even the bottling.
We recognise the majority of British rum distilleries do not make their base spirit despite claiming that their spirits are craft products. We are part of a crusade striving for clear marketing of British rum products. Customers can taste the difference when a rum is made from scratch using the highest premium ingredients. We'd love you to see for yourself!
With the long standing relationship between the Royal Navy and Pussers Rum, it is our honour to directly support commemorative events such as Black Tot anniversaries and "Trafalgar Day", for both serving members and veterans of the Royal Navy. Our five-year old dark oak-aged rum has been referred to as a smoother "up market" version of the Navy rum. Our dark rum has won regional, national and most recently (June 2025) a global IWSC award.
We are committed to sustainable and environmentally friendly rum production. We re-use dunder in subsequent fermentations, partly for flavour and partly to minimise the water we use. Our small warehouse is heated with environmentally friendly heating within a well-insulated building.
Our commitment to you, the customer, is that as we grow, we will not compromise on our ingredients, process or attention to detail. We will continue to strive for excellence in all the products we produce. I hope you enjoy our rum as much as we do!
