Welcome to Black Ven Distillery. These Terms & Conditions govern purchases made through our website, www.blackvendistillery.com, and the use of the website.
By placing an order, you agree to these terms, subject to your statutory consumer rights.

References to “we”, “us” and “our” mean Black Ven Distillery Limited.
2. Eligibility to Purchase
Our alcoholic products may only be purchased by persons aged 18 or over.
By placing an order, you confirm that you are legally entitled to purchase alcoholic beverages.
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order where we reasonably believe that applicable legal or licensing requirements cannot be satisfied.
3. Products and Availability
We make every effort to ensure that product descriptions, bottle sizes, alcoholic strengths and other information displayed on our website are accurate.
Product photographs are illustrative. Labels, packaging and minor aspects of presentation may vary between production batches without materially affecting the product’s advertised characteristics.
All products are subject to availability. We reserve the right to amend product descriptions, discontinue products or update prices at any time, without affecting orders already accepted.
4. Prices and Payment
All prices displayed for UK purchases are in pounds sterling (GBP) and include VAT where applicable.
Shipping costs are calculated separately and displayed at checkout before payment is completed.
Payments are securely processed through Square, our payment services provider.
We reserve the right to correct obvious pricing errors. Where an error affects an order, we will contact the customer before proceeding.
5. Orders and Acceptance
Submitting an order constitutes an offer to purchase the selected products.
An automated order acknowledgement confirms receipt of the order but does not necessarily constitute acceptance.
A binding contract is formed when we explicitly accept the order or issue a dispatch confirmation.
We reserve the right to decline orders where products are unavailable, payment cannot be authorised, delivery is impracticable or the transaction would breach applicable laws.
Where payment has been collected for an order that we cannot accept, a full refund will be provided.
6. UK Mainland Delivery
We offer the following delivery options for eligible UK mainland addresses.
Standard Delivery
- One bottle: £4 plus VAT.
- Two or more bottles: Free standard delivery.
- Estimated delivery: 3–5 working days.
Expedited Delivery
- £6 plus VAT per order.
- Estimated delivery: 1–2 working days.
Customers ordering two or more bottles may select free standard delivery or upgrade to expedited delivery at the additional charge.
Delivery times are estimates rather than guarantees, unless an exact delivery date has expressly been agreed.
We will make reasonable efforts to meet the advertised delivery times. Customers retain all statutory rights relating to late or failed deliveries.
7. Free Local Delivery
Free local delivery is available to eligible addresses within approximately 10 miles of Lyme Regis.
Eligibility will be confirmed during the ordering process or by direct arrangement.
Customer collection from our premises is not currently available.
8. Deliveries Outside UK Mainland
Deliveries to islands and locations outside our standard UK mainland courier service are arranged individually.
Customers should email john.tucker@blackvendistillery.com to request a quotation.
Shipping charges and delivery arrangements will be confirmed before an order is accepted.
9. International Orders
Black Ven Distillery welcomes international enquiries and may supply products to destinations supported by DHL, subject to applicable shipping and import restrictions.
International orders are handled individually rather than through our standard online checkout.

Where the applicable UK VAT export conditions are met, international orders may be supplied without UK VAT.
Customers are responsible for ensuring that alcoholic beverages may lawfully be imported into their destination country and for paying any applicable import duties, local taxes, excise duties and customs clearance charges.
Black Ven Distillery is not responsible for costs or losses arising solely from a customer’s failure to satisfy applicable import requirements or pay import charges, provided those circumstances were not caused by our own breach of contract or error.
We reserve the right to decline orders where international delivery is prohibited or impractical.
10. Delivery Responsibilities
Customers are responsible for providing accurate and complete delivery information.
Where incorrect information results in additional courier charges or the need to arrange a further delivery, we may recover reasonable additional costs where legally permitted.
For consumer orders, responsibility for goods lost or damaged in transit generally remains with Black Ven Distillery until the goods are delivered into the physical possession of the customer or a person nominated by the customer, other than the carrier.
11. Cancellations, Returns and Refunds
Black Ven Distillery does not offer voluntary change-of-mind returns or refunds beyond those required by law.
For most online consumer purchases, customers have a statutory right to cancel an order within 14 days of receiving the goods, without giving a reason, subject to applicable legal exceptions.
Customers must notify us of cancellation within the applicable period and return the goods within 14 days of notification. The customer is normally responsible for the direct cost of returning goods following a change-of-mind cancellation.
If a product is faulty, damaged, incorrect or not as described, customers are entitled to the remedies provided by applicable UK consumer legislation.

We will deal with requests individually in accordance with applicable statutory rights.
We do not offer any additional discretionary refund entitlement beyond those rights.
12. Promotions and Special Offers
We may occasionally offer promotional discounts, voucher codes or special offers.
Such promotions may be subject to conditions displayed at the time of the offer, including expiry dates, minimum purchase requirements, restrictions on combining offers and product availability.
Promotional codes have no cash value unless expressly stated otherwise.
We reserve the right to withdraw or amend promotions without affecting orders already accepted.
13. Intellectual Property
All original content on the Black Ven Distillery website, including photographs, logos, branding, text, graphics, designs and product descriptions, belongs to Black Ven Distillery Limited or its respective licensors.
This content is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
No content may be reproduced, distributed, modified or used commercially without prior written permission, except where permitted by law.

14. Website Use
Visitors agree not to misuse our website, attempt unauthorised access, introduce malicious software, interfere with website operation or use its content for unlawful purposes.
We reserve the right to restrict access where reasonably necessary to protect the website, our customers or our legal obligations.
We take reasonable care to maintain the accuracy and availability of our website but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access.
15. Privacy and Personal Information
We process personal information in accordance with applicable UK data protection legislation.
Information provided during ordering may be shared with payment processors, couriers and service providers where necessary to fulfil orders and operate our business.
Payments are processed through Square.

16. Liability
We are responsible for losses that are a foreseeable result of our breach of contract or failure to exercise reasonable care and skill.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or restricts liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, breach of statutory consumer rights or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
We are not responsible for losses outside our legal responsibility or for circumstances beyond our reasonable control, subject always to applicable consumer protection laws.

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Customers retain any mandatory consumer protections and jurisdictional rights applicable to them under relevant legislation.
